The Department of Education Economics and Administration (EEA) originated in the Teaching-Research Section of Education Department, which was established in 1983. The department has 16 full-time academic staffs including 6 professors, 6 associate professors, 2 lecturers and 2 assistant professors. The uniqueness of the department is that our staff is diverse in educational background and experience. 80% of our staff have academic exchange and research collaboration experience in the world-famous universities in the Europe, US, Australia, and Canada. The department has 3 doctoral supervisors and 14 master supervisors.

The department has undergraduate program and postgraduate programs. Our undergraduate program (public affairs management) was established in 1988, which is a national first-class undergraduate specialty construction site. Our master and doctoral programs (Education Economics and Administration) were established in 1997 and 2003, respectively. 

The academic staff has outstanding scientific research ability by publishing over 600 articles in prominent academic journals, compiling and composing more than 70 books and textbooks, supervising over 150 national, provincial, and university-level research projects as well as winning more than 20 top academic awards in various levels. As an important high-level education think tank in Guangdong Province, our department continues making strong contribution to the research of national education policies and the development strategies of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It also provides services for the overall improvement of elementary and secondary school management and the professional development of school principals and teachers.
