Jie Xue is a professor of management and associate dean of the School of Politics and Public Administration at South China Normal University, China. He received his Ph.D. in Management Science and Engineering from the School of Business Administration, South China University of Technology, China. He teaches courses related to innovation management, marketing, strategy, and science and technology policy (STP), and serves as a supervisor of graduate students and Ph.D. candidates. His current research interests are in the areas of technological innovation management (TOM), innovation-driven strategy, and science and technology policy in the context of China. His research has been published in various books and journals (in English) such as Creativity and Innovation Management, Innovation: Organization and Management, Journal of Organizational Change Management, and other leading Chinese journals such as Science Research Management and Studies in Science of Science. Previously, he was a visiting scholar at the University of Denver's Daniels College of Business (2012-2013) and William & Mary's Raymond A. Mason School of Business (2019-2020).
